I used to be a knitwear designer so it’s not surprising that the human figure, texture and colour have become my obsession. I started with ceramics, but then I discovered glass as a medium! This amazing, alchemic medium illuminates the form from within, giving transparency, reflection and depth to a sculpture, an alternative universe of just light and shadows, yet still very solid. I use a variety of techniques; fusing, casting in the kiln and sand casting in a hot glass studio.
With photography and computer graphics my colour palette has expanded, allowing for greater experimentation and freedom of form which cross-pollinates into my glass.
I have taken glass master classes with Colin Reid and Max Jacquard. My work can be seen in various mixed shows and galleries and can be commissioned.
