Krystyna was born in Gdansk, Poland. She studied at Gdansk University and graduated in 1976 with a Master’s Degree in Economics.  She settled in England in 1977. Mainly self taught, the only formal artistic training Krystyna has received is at the Department of Extra Mural Studies at Chelsea College of Art and Design, where she was a student of Life Painting and Drawing from 1985 till 1995. 

Krystyna first exhibited and sold her paintings in 1991 and since then has had a number of solo exhibitions and has taken part in many group shows. Her work is in private and corporate collections in Europe, America, Australia, China, Thailand and North Cyprus.

Nature is her inspiration and Krystyna paints the world in all its warmth and beauty, gifts from the Creator.  Her aim is to capture nature in its natural palette of colours and light using all her knowledge of painting techniques and of composition.

Krystyna’s paintings reflect her admiration for the Old Masters and wishes to remain faithful to their traditions.
